The music and nightlife industry has long had a complex relationship with alcohol and substances, but something is shifting. A growing number of artists and people participating in nightlife are choosing sobriety, challenging the assumption that you need to be intoxicated to belong in spaces built around altered states.
This candid panel brings together voices who have navigated the very real tensions of working in an industry where drink and drug culture are baked into the social fabric -from backstage riders to after-parties, from networking at the bar to the unspoken pressure to participate.
