SPEAKER TOPIC

NAVIGATING NIGHTLIFE SOBER

The music and nightlife industry has long had a complex relationship with alcohol and substances, but something is shifting. A growing number of artists and people participating in nightlife are choosing sobriety, challenging the assumption that you need to be intoxicated to belong in spaces built around altered states.

This candid panel brings together voices who have navigated the very real tensions of working in an industry where drink and drug culture are baked into the social fabric -from backstage riders to after-parties, from networking at the bar to the unspoken pressure to participate.

We’ll explore the shifting attitudes taking root across the industry, the practical tools that have helped our panellists protect their sobriety without sacrificing their careers, and the unexpected gifts that clarity brings to creativity and relationships -alongside the challenges that don’t simply disappear when you put down the drink.

An honest, open conversation for anyone who is sober curious, newly sober, long-term sober, or simply trying to understand what it means to thrive in nightlife on your own terms.
